Waqrapukara Full Day

WAQRAPUKARA FULL DAY.

We pick you up from your hotel at 5:00 in the morning, and we will move to the south valley side of the city of Cusco, observing beautiful landscapes and towns that are on the route, as Saylla, traditional place of (pork cracklings), Huasao, land of witches and shamans most recognized of the city, Tipon, traditional place to eat guinea pigs. Oropesa, (traditional place where it is elaborated of the chutas breads, breads of great size very delicious elaborated in traditional ovens), Urcos, town of its beautiful Lagoon, Cusipata, Place where we will stop to take our delicious breakfast, to then continue continuing our journey until the deviation of Acomayo, Pomacanchi, towards Santa Lucia, to continue ascending until the tip road, from where after getting ready with our small backpacks we will begin to hike for two kilometers more or less, in approx. 1 hour of walking, in a stretch a little steep especially already arriving to the archaeological rest of Waqrapukara, from the route we will be able to appreciate the Inca and Pre Inca construction that is in the edge of a geological formation curiously formed giving the impression as the name of the same archaeological rest mentions WAQRAPUKARA (4300 meters above sea level, 14190 feets), (Waqra-Cuenos Pukara-Fortress) which was a center of astronomical observation. And for the Qanchis in the pre-Inca e’poca as a temple to his god Teqci Wiracocha, all these explanations our guide will be informing us along the way and in the same place, we can also move a few meters up to a very beautiful viewpoint where we can appreciate better, once visited the entire sector, we will return by the same road to where our transport is to return to the city of Cusco again, arriving in the city at 6:00 pm.
